Amukelani Mayimele is a Pan-Africanist, an Entrepreneur, a Consultant and an aspiring Public Policy Analyst. She has over 10-years of experience working in youth consultation, policy engagement, and capacity building.
She is the Founder and former Executive Director of ZAYRAH, a youth-led development agency that focuses on policy engagement and building youth capacity. She is also the former Programme Director for Africa at Common Purpose, a leadership development organization.
She completed a summer programme in Public Policy Analysis and Civic Leadership at the University of California, Berkeley. She has experience working with international organizations, governments, grant makers and civil society. She has trained a number of young people across the African continent and has travelled the continent extensively.
She holds a bachelor’s of commerce degree in Accountancy and completed her 3 years training majoring in Accounting and Management Accounting. She has passion for farming and currently runs an Agribusiness in her village in Limpopo. She was recognized as one of the 28 Nations Greatest by the Sunday Times and Johnnie Walker Awards in 2013
